Karlos Ulibarri is a former candidate for the Bernalillo Metropolitan Courts in New Mexico.[1] He was defeated in the primary election on June 7, 2016.

New Mexico held general elections for local judicial offices on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on June 7, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 8, 2016.[2] Christine Rodriguez defeated Karlos Ulibarri in the Bernalillo Metropolitan Court Democratic primary for Division 2.[1]

Judges of the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court are each appointed to four-year terms by the governor.[3] After this initial term, judges stand in retention elections. To serve on this court, a judge must be a member of the state bar and have three years of law practice in New Mexico.[4]
