Kasey Friedrichsen
Kasey Friedrichsen was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 18 of the Iowa House of Representatives.
Friedrichsen is a Benefits Consultant with Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company. She graduated from Denison High School, earned a bachelor’s degree of political science from Drake University in 2009 and a Master’s Degree of Public Administration from Drake University in 2011.[1]
Friedrichsen has served as an intern in the U.S. House of Representatives and a clerk in the Iowa House of Representatives. She has worked for Iowa Workforce Development in Des Moines and Denison and is as an active member of AFSCME.[1]

2012
Friedrichsen ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 18. Friedrichsen defeated Bernard Murphy in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. She was defeated by District 55 incumbent Jason Schultz (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Friedrichsen is the daughter of Andrew and Sylvia Friedrichsen of Amarillo, Texas and Terry and Leah Preul of Denison. She lives in Denison and is a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Denison Young Professionals.[1]
