|I am an active community member and a proud mom of four Wayzata-educated children — two in college, one at Wayzata High School, and one at West Middle School. I am also married to a Wayzata graduate. Through these experiences, I have witnessed the lasting impact of a great education and the responsibility we share in giving students that gift.
For over two decades, I have lived in the district and contributed as a youth coach, room parent, school and church volunteer, military spouse, election judge, neighborhood association president, and board member with Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners (IOCP) in Plymouth. These experiences reinforced values that guide me today: integrity, accountability, community and service.- I understand governance School boards are elected to set the direction, policies and priorities for the district, approve and oversee performance metrics and financial results and advise the superintendent and administration to ensure effective implementation. Board members should partner with stakeholders to understand concerns, provide thought-partnership to the Superintendent and ultimately be accountable for the evaluation of this critical role. Balanced, evidence-based discussion and debate should strengthen the board’s perspective and once a decision is approved, unified support should follow to ensure stability and clarity. With a focus on disciplined oversight, collaborative partnership, and a commitment to advancing academic excel
