Biography
McGraw offered the following biographical summary to Ballotpedia:[1]
“ |
A lifelong Independent, I come from a large working class family of Pennsylvania dairy farmers. Born and raised in Monroe Township, and a resident within the 92nd district for over 20 years, I am a 1996 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, and an acclaimed regional artist with degrees from Penn State and Brooklyn College. I have also completed coursework through the University of Vermont Agricultural Extension. As an advocate who can speak to the unique nature of our rural and developing region, I will be your trusted Representative for the varied issues facing our communities, schools and families in York and Cumberland counties of the 92nd Legislative District in the General Assembly.[2] |

Political philosophy
McGraw made the following statement to Ballotpedia regarding her political philosophy:[1]
“ |
Our country is built on the wisdom of collaboration, negotiation and compromise. As an Independent, I am beholden to the people I represent and free to negotiate without pressure from a specific party. The ideal Representative values cross-partisan dialogue and agreement, and can act as a bridge between two squabbling parties. I believe that a well-funded public education is a keystone for success and will fight to bring renewed prosperity to our public school system in York and Cumberland counties. In addition to public education support, my platform focuses on farmland preservation, increased health care access for populations including the elderly and those suffering from opioid addiction, and improvements in infrastructure in order to bring better paying jobs to our district.
