Last November, I stood in the voting booth and counted eleven unopposed races. That was the last straw for me. What is democracy without a choice? I decided that if nothing else, I could be the one to give Mississippians a choice. My goal is running for Congress is to meet the needs of my district, state, and country, so all of us can have a shot at a good life.
Everyone deserves the chance to live their best, fullest lives. To do that, everyone needs access to healthcare, which is why I'm committed to fighting for Medicaid for All.
The brain is wired to pay more attention to the bad than the good. It's a survival mechanism. So while I want my legacy to be a positive one, where I helped advance the quality of life of the people of this country, I will consider it a success if I am not remembered at all.
I was seven years old when the Twin Towers fell on 9/11. My whole life has been shaped by that event and the actions our country took in the aftermath.
Things Might Go Terribly, Horribly Wrong" by Dr. Kelly Wilson. It's a short DIY primer on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and I like the approach.
I'd like to be a part of the committees on Education and Labor, Judiciary, Veterans Affairs, Ethics, and Science, Space, and Technology.
I support term limits. Life-long service is admirable, but the current system makes it difficult for new ideas to get to the floor.
