Kathleen Barton was a write-in candidate for Position 1 representative on the Pasco Board of Directors in Washington. She lost in the general election on November 3, 2015. As an insufficient number of write-in votes were cast to affect the election outcome, a specific vote total for Barton was not calculated by the Franklin County elections office.[1]

Opposition

Two of the five seats on the Pasco Board of Directors were up for at-large general election on November 3, 2015. Positions 1 and 2 were on the ballot.

Position 1 incumbent Scott Lehrman and Position 2 incumbent Ryan Brault ran for re-election. Brault was defeated by challenger Aaron Richardson in the general election. Lehrman was running unopposed for the Position 1 seat until Kathleen Barton, a former Pasco teacher, announced she would run against him. She ran as a write-in candidate, and her name did not appear on the ballot.[2][1] Despite the write-in challenge, Lehrman won the election and retained his seat.
