2016

Conway's campaign website highlighted the following issues:

Water Protection

Since vast amounts of water rights from Eastern Colorado have already been sold to cities in the Denver Metro area, it is more important than ever to protect what is left. This must be done without compromising the rights of property owners.

Living Wage

No one who works full time should live in poverty. The minimum wage must be high enough so that the worker can afford food, shelter and healthcare without depending on public assistance from taxpayers.

Equal Pay for Equal Work

While there has been a significant narrowing of the 40% pay gap that existed in the 1960's, women still make $0.79 on the dollar as compared to men. This reduces Social Security for the older women by an unfair amount. According to a report released by Congress in April, full time working women earn, on average, $10,800 per year less than men. Over $500,000 over the course of a career.

Environment

Just say no to fracking in House District 64! The landscape of Northern Colorado has already been ruined with views of ugly fracking compounds set up right next to our highways, residential areas, schools, and scenic areas. Water wells in Garfield and Weld County have already been contaminated. Do not let this happen to us. Renewable energy and fossil fuel exploration can co-exist as we move toward a more sustainable future.

Animal Protection

Upholding the humane treatment of animals while preserving the rights of responsible owners[6]
