What would be your top three priorities, if elected?
| “ | Economy. I moved to Maryland from Virginia in 2005. I was shocked how many businesses had gravitated away from Maryland to Virginia! I will work with Governor Hogan to change this and bring business and jobs to Maryland. I pledge to support policies that will continue the dramatic economic gains Maryland has made over the past four years. Taxes. I pledge to continue to support policies that will reduce taxes for all Maryland citizens and Maryland businesses. Protecting Life and Property. Prince George’s County has made significant reductions in recent years in its overall crime rate. Nonetheless, it remains one of the highest in the State. I pledge to support creative solutions to our criminal justice needs, and stop the statistics that place Maryland fourth highest in the nations for sex trafficking crimes.[2][3] |

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?
| “ | Criminal Justice. In 1987 I earned my Doctorate of Juris Prudence from Arizona State University. In 1988 I was admitted to the Arizona Bar and served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Houlihan. In 1989 I moved to Washington DC where I enjoyed a successful career with the nonprofit Concerned Women for America, and Justice Fellowship. For these nonprofits I worked tirelessly advocating for change in State policies that impacted families, and both victims and perpetrators of crime. I then joined the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention working to keep juveniles safe while incarcerated. I also authored a Fact Sheet for the Department of Justice which is still cited in college textbooks and other publications.
Respect for Life. The nation’s most notorious late term abortionist practices within Maryland’s borders, completely freely and legally. I pledge to support policies to put dangerous late term abortionists out of business, protecting women from these “front alley butchers.”Cite error: Invalid |

| “ | I believe all of my life experiences have uniquely prepared me for this role. I have put in hundreds of hours volunteering over the last 10 years advocating for families in Maryland; advocating at the Statehouse, campaigning across our county, and gathering to pray for bills, issues, and candidates. This experience has given me an understanding of the workings of the Maryland State government and an understanding of the issues our State faces, and a determination to represent the people of Maryland to insure their voice is heard on issues that are important to them.[3] | ” |
