Kathleen E. Kaiser

Kathleen E. Kaiser is an at-large member of the Chico Unified School District Board of Education in California. She was first elected to the board in 2006.[1]
Kaiser faced one fellow incumbent and two challengers in her bid for re-election to one of three at-large seats on November 4, 2014.[2][3] Kathleen E. Kaiser won the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Kaiser has been a professor at the California State University at Chico since 1972. She earned her bachelor's degree from Florida State University and her doctoral degree from Duke University. She was appointed by the governor to be a member of the California State University Board of Trustees. This appointment made her the first female faculty member to serve on the university's board. She served in that position from 2003 to 2005. Kaiser's children attended the Chico Unified School District, and now four of her grandchildren attend the district.[1][4]

2014
Three at-large seats on the Chico Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbents Eileen Robinson and Kathleen E. Kaiser ran for re-election against candidates Gary M. Loustale and Cynthia Van Auken. Robinson and Kaiser won their bids for re-election, and Loustale joined them on the board after also winning the election.

Funding
Kaiser filed Form 470 with the Butte County Registrar of Voters, indicating she did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for her 2014 campaign. Because of this, Kaiser did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[5]
