Elections for the New Hampshire State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent Andrew Hosmer was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Kathleen Lauer-Rago was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hosmer and Lauer-Rago faced off in the general election.[1] A mandatory recount was triggered due to Hosmer winning by 131 votes.[2] A recount took place on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, and Hosner was declared the winner.[3][4]
