Kathleen Sgambati
Kathleen Sgambati is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire State Senate. She represented district 4 from 1998 to 2010. While in the senate, Sgambati served as the Deputy Majority Leader.
Sgambati has worked for the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. She has also worked as Deputy Commissioner for Governor Jeanne Shaheen and Governor Steve Merril. She then worked as a manager for a Citizens' Health Initiative. At the time of her tenure in the state Senate, Sgambati was a consultant.
Legislation
Role in gambling debate
Sgambati has said that she is not comfortable with expanded gambling in New Hampshire[1], but put forward an amendment to legislation authorizing slot machines at several locations around the state provided that $50 million in revenues from the gambling licenses go to fund social service programs[2].

On November 4, 2008, Kathleen Sgambati won the election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 1 with 14,532 votes.
