Kathryn Kozak is an at-large representative on the Flagstaff Unified School District Governing Board in Arizona. She filed to run for the office in the November 4, 2014, general election, but the election was canceled due to a lack of contested races. Kozak was elected by default to the one of the open seats.

Kozak holds a B.S. in mathematics, a B.S. in physics and an M.S. in mathematics with an emphasis in statistics from Northern Arizona University. She was a member of Sigma Pi Sigma and the Society of Physics Students. She became a mathematics instructor at Coconino Community College in 1994. She has volunteered with and served as the second vice chair of the Coconino Democratic Party.[1]

Two seats on the Flagstaff Unified School District Governing Board were up for election in 2014. Incumbents Dolores Biggerstaff and Miguel Vasquez's terms ended on December 31, 2014, and neither officeholder filed to run for re-election. Kim Khatibi and Kathryn Kozak ran unopposed for the open seats.[2][3]

Results

The election was canceled due to a lack of contested races. Khatibi and Kozak won the election by default.[3]

Funding

Kozak reported no contributions or expenditures to the Coconino County Recorder's office.[4]

Kozak received no official endorsements in the election.
