Kathryn Lewis (Virginia)
Kathryn Lewis was a 2018 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 6th Congressional District of Virginia.[1]
Virginia's Sixth District Republican Committee voted to hold a convention on May 19, 2018, to select a Republican nominee for the seat rather than hold a primary. The committee also supported an amendment that would limit the vote to one ballot, instead of the multi-ballot voting system used at most conventions.[2] Candidates disputed whether this change was designed to favor one candidate or provided a more transparent process.[3][4]
Biography
Lewis graduated from Lynchburg College and owns a cleaning business. She was elected to the Lynchburg College Alumni Board.[5]
