I am a grandma and I tutor elementary math and teach 4th grade at my church. I grew up in Irving and have lived in Grand Prairie since 1981. I care that our children need an education and not indoctrination.
  • I am for Education not Indoctrination. We need to be teaching core subjects such as math, history, geography, government, civics, reading, writing, science, and music. If we spend the time teaching the core subjects, then there isn't time to be teaching social engineering of our kids. However, the opposite is not true. There isn't enough time to teach the core subjects because so much time and energy is used to indoctrinate.
  • I am against CRT, Social Emotional Learning, (SEL), and porn being used as comprehensive sex education.
  • Parents have rights to know what is being taught to their children. I believe that parents are the decision makers for their children and not the government.
Parents have rights over what their children are taught in school. Parents have rights over medical decisions for their children and not any government entity. Education should be core subjects and not social emotional learning. Public policy should be about protecting children and families and not undermining families. Children need to be taught how to think and not what to think.
The decision of the text books and materials to be used by Texas schools. This not only affects the kids in Texas but across the country. It is very important what kids are being taught. The way of our kids affects the future of our country.
To put the welfare and future of children and their families 1st.
That education became more about education and less about social issues and doctrines of the society.
Children taught how to think and not what to think. Parents not having to worry what their children are learning or being exposed to that goes against their family values.
My 1st job was working at Arby's and I worked there for 3 years.
The bible. It has all the answers in it. It has history and prophesy. There is wisdom for countries to follow and individuals to follow for a good life.
No. I think it is better to not be in the political theater so that your decisions come from the people and parents represented and not slanted from politics.
