I am running for City Council to prioritize Atlanta community members and small businesses by empowering grassroots initiatives, along with bringing my professional community designer and entrepreneur’s perspective into policy making.

As my work with Virginia Highland District shows, creating a foundation of communication and support enhances the success of all corners of the community. Each small business is a resident chasing a dream, and I am ready to improve access to the tools needed to achieve those dreams.

  • Equitable housing opportunities for low to middle income Atlantans.
  • Expand transportation and complete streets infrastructure.
  • Small business support through dedicated funding and education.
I am running to prioritize Atlanta community members and small businesses by empowering grassroots initiatives, like the ones I've co-founded and worked with over the past three years, as well as bring my professional community designer and entrepreneur’s perspective into policy making. I am personally passionate about designing and implementing a more equitable Atlanta, by providing the political will to fund and support those who are doing the groundwork.
I have been blessed by a strong community, mainly women, that have taught me that just because I have privileges it is not the same for everyone. I possess copious amounts of empathy for those not so fortunate and the education and experiences to amplify the voices of those less heard. As a designer, my strength is in researching and implementation of solutions and as a leader my strength is providing an optimistic and engaging environment that promotes collective movements and expedited timelines.
I would like to be a role model and give representation to younger generations to follow their dreams no matter how crazy they might seem and to give them roots to the possibility that one person can change the world.
My first job was in the hospitality industry, starting at 16 and ending in 12 years later; I held various positions from cashier, to catering, to server, to bartender.
A struggle in my life has been accepting the status quo. Throughout my education, receiving my Masters in Architecture and Community Design, and my extensive travels, to over 20 countries, I have studied better, more innovative ways to for cities to be designed. When cities are designed for people and diversity, and new concepts are introduced, it can electrify the productivity, economy, and happiness of its residents.
