Current township trustee and have been since 2016. Was Macomb County Commissioner from 2003-2016.

Married with 3 adult children and 9 grandchildren.

Retired Income Tax Consultant.
  • Experienced. My experience of 8 years as a township trustee, 14 years as a Macomb County Commissioner and 2 years as an aide to our State Representative have provided the experience needed to promote good policies and ordinances.
  • Proven Community Leader. In addition to my elected experience I am an appointed member to the Zoning Board of Appeals, Historical Society President, Anchor Bay Rotary member and Metropolitan Affairs Coatition Board Member, and active with the SEMCOG (Southeast Michigan Council of Governments)
  • Promote Business. It is imperative that we have policies that allow businesses to grow and succeed in our communities. These businesses offer goods and services on which we rely and provide job opportunities for quality of life.
Balanced budget with responsible spending policies and promoting an attractive community in which to thrive.
Three major areas come to mind:

1. Townships in Michigan are responsible for zoning, planning, and building permits which impact growth and quality of life.
2. Our township is also responsible for delivery of drinking water and removal of waste water which impact health and quality of life.

3. Assessing the value of property for purposes of taxation at all levels of local government, local and state education, libraries and other voter approved and/or government approved authorities.
The Bible because it tells about how we came to be in this world, aspirations, responsibilities, consequences for decision making, and best of all Redemption and forgiveness for things that may have gone wrong.
All our decisions involve multi-faceted issues that need to be dealt with responsibly.
To be able to work on and pass a balanced budget with responsible policies for spending.
That I made a difference.
Assassination of President John F. Kennedy. At eleven years of age I learned that while death is final on a personal level, the United States Government continued.
We can use the informal power of persuasion via membership in government and community organizations. We can use the power of information to connect our residents to help they may need at the federal, state, and county level of government.
While it is not required, it's helpful to have been involved in one or more organizations where decision making is a group making effort. Examples include but are not limited to: School Board, Service Club, Homeowner Association, Employment Responsibility or other appointed boards or commissions.
Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors
We need to be open with our budget deliberations which include decision making at meetings that conform with the Michigan Open Meetings Act and also make available the budget and financial statements via electronic means such as website, e-mail replies, etc.
