Kathleen "Kathy" Heuer is a former Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing District 83 from 2010 to August 22, 2014. She resigned to join a medical industry trade group.[1]

Elections for the Indiana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 6, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Christopher N. Judy defeated incumbent Kathy Heuer in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election. Steven J. Hively filed to run in the Republican primary but was removed from the ballot.[2][3] Judy was appointed to the seat on September 22, 2014, after Heuer resigned.[4]

Heuer won re-election in the 2012 election for Indiana House of Representatives District 83. Heuer defeated Keith R. Potter in the May 8 Republican primary[5] and defeated John A. Good (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[6][7]

Heuer defeated Democratic candidate Wray McCalester by a margin of 13,156 to 4,457.[8] The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

Heuer and her husband, Jim, have seven children. She has served on the Columbia City Council Board of Works, the Columbia City Housing Authority and the Columbia City Plan Commission. Heuer is a former president of the Whitley County United Way Board of Directors and a former chairman of the Whitley County Republican Party.
