Campaign themes

2014

Hoff's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

Creating jobs and promoting economic growth

  • Excerpt: "When elected State Representative, I will work to grow a strong, skilled workforce that is well-equipped to compete for good jobs in both current and developing industries."

Education

  • Excerpt: "As State Representative, I will work to ensure that Ohio’s children receive the highest quality education available while being responsible with your tax payer dollars."

Taxes

  • Excerpt: "I will fight to ensure that your hard earned dollars are being spent in ways which will benefit your community. Too many tax dollars are spent wastefully, and I will stand up in support of programs which require accountability and results."

Budget

  • Excerpt: "When elected, I will work to reinstate the homestead exemption so that our senior citizens can stay in their homes for as long as possible. In today’s economy, our government needs to learn to create a budget and stick to it, instead of creating new taxes to fund pet projects."

Veterans

  • Excerpt: "As a county and a state, we must support the men and women who have served our nation. Programs that provide job or transitional training for civilian positions, the opportunity for education, and dual licensing, are all essential for supporting our veterans."
