Kathy Killingsworth was a judge for the Brewster County Court in Texas. She was appointed in January 2014 to replace retiring Judge Val Beard. She ran for re-election that year but lost.[1][2]

Killingsworth ran for election to the Brewster County Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 27.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Eleazar R. Cano and Jerry Sotello.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Killingsworth faced Cano in a primary runoff election on May 27, 2014. She was defeated, earning 30.1% of the votes cast.
