Kathy Schrader
Kathy Schrader is a judge of the Gwinnett Judicial Circuit in the Ninth Superior Court District of Georgia. She was elected to the position in August of 2012, and was re-elected in 2016.[1]
Education
Schrader received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from Mercer University. She was admitted to the bar in 1987.[2]
Career
Prior to her election to the Superior Court, Schrader was a municipal court judge for Duluth and Sugar Hill.[3]

Incumbent Kathy Schrader ran unopposed in the general election for one of 14 seats up for election on the 9th District of the Georgia Superior Court.

2012
Schrader competed against Chris McClurg, Giles Sexton, Tracey Mason Blasi, and Robert D. Walker, Jr. in the July 31 election.[4] She received the highest vote percentage on July 31 (43.54%), and as no candidate was able to achieve over 50% of the vote, she and Tracey Mason Blasi (20.39%) competed in a runoff election on August 21st.[5]
On August 21 Schrader defeated Blasi the primary runoff election, receiving 69.83% of the vote to Tracey Mason Blasi's 30.17%.[6]
The candidates were competing to fill the vacancy created by K. Dawson Jackson's retirement.
