Kathy Turner
Kathy Turner was a candidate for an at-large seat on the Rocklin Unified School District school board in California. Turner was defeated in the at-large general election on November 8, 2016. The 2016 election was Turner's first time running for office.[1]
Biography
Turner has lived in Rocklin for over 20 years. She is a small business owner and a California licensed realtor affiliated with Coldwell Banker. She is a member of the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Turner is also a member of the Breen Elementary Parent Teacher Club, the Granite Oaks Middle School Parent Teacher Club, the Rocklin Swim Team board, the Junior League of Sacramento, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. She is also a member of Centerpoint Community Church. Turner earned a bachelor's degree in history and political science from the University of California at Los Angeles. She and her husband have two sons who attend the Rocklin Unified School District.[1]

Two of the five seats on the Rocklin Unified School District board of trustees were up for at-large general election on November 8, 2016. Incumbent Camille Maben filed for re-election and faced challengers Eric Stevens and Kathy Turner.[2] Maben won re-election, and Stevens won election to the other seat on the ballot.[3]
