Katie Benson
Katie Benson is a judge of the Nebraska 4th District Court. She assumed office on July 20, 2022. Her current term ends on January 7, 2027.
She was appointed to the court on June 17, 2022 by Gov. Pete Ricketts (R) to a newly created judgeship effective July 20, 2022.[1]
Biography
Benson received her bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska Omaha and her J.D. from the University of Wyoming School of Law. She clerked for the Fourth Judicial District Court for 2.5 years before joining the Douglas County Attorney’s Office in 2008. In the Douglas County Attorney’s Office, Benson has worked in the Felony Division and was a Deputy County Attorney prior to her appointment.[1]
