Katie Gene Lund is a judge for Division 2 of the Lincoln County Magistrate Court in Lincoln County, New Mexico. She was appointed to the court by Governor Susana Martinez on October 28, 2014, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Lorena M. Lamay.[1] Lund was elected in 2014 for a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]

Lund ran for re-election to the Lincoln County Magistrate Court.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 3, 2014, receiving 36.2 percent of the vote. She competed against Roger Hatcher, Lori Lea Archibeque, and Salvador L. Beltran.
General: She was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014.

Education
Lund received both her undergraduate and master's degrees from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces.[1]
Career
Before her appointment to the court, Lund worked for the New Mexico Corrections Department as a district supervisor and as an adult probation and parole officer. She also previously served as a juvenile probation and parole officer with the Children, Youth and Families Department.[1]
