Katie Thurber
Katie Thurber is the acting Nebraska Commissioner of Labor. She assumed office on December 31, 2024.
Thurber was appointed acting commissioner by Gov. Jim Pillen (R) on December 31, 2024 to replace John Albin.[1]
Biography
Thurber was general counsel of the Nebraska Department of Labor and deputy commissioner of operations.[1]
Education
Thurber earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Birmingham-Southern College and a J.D. at the University of Nebraska College of Law.[1]
