Expand all | Collapse all

I have spent the last fifteen years focused on clinical care, patient advocacy, public health, emergency response and health education, reducing barriers to healthcare and social services on the West Coast.

The last two years I have driven around rural Oregon providing mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics and offering emergency response to our communities.

I am running for re-election to the Multnomah Education Service District Board to put students first and ensure that ALL children have access to the quality education they deserve.
  • Expanding opportunity for students I understand that equity-driven options like apprenticeships are essential to students’ economic future. I will advocate to expand career education, readiness programs and “grow your own” teacher pathways.
  • School Health Service I believe all of our students deserve trauma-informed, accessible, culturally-appropriate, gender-affirming and comprehensive health services, including thorough reproductive health education.
  • Standing up for students I’ll prioritize vulnerable students and historically targeted communities. I want to ensure that students needing special education services and those involved in the juvenile carceral system receive safe, equitable and strengths-based education. I’m developing an OSBA LGBTQIA2S+ advisory committee. A national first. This committee will help school board members better support staff, students and families, help implement the SSA, and encourage LGBTQIA2S+ folks to run for office.
Public Education and Equitable Funding.

Comprehensive, age appropriate, trauma informed and culturally responsive sexual, reproductive and relationship health education.
School-based health centers.
Abortion access and reproductive justice.
Healthcare for All.
Housing is a human right.

Abolition.

I have worked in the field of clinical care and public health for the 15 years. I have worked on campaigns for vital

measures like Reproductive Health Equity Act (RHEA), Universal Preschool for ALL (UP NOW), Paid Family and
Medical Leave (PFML), Drivers License for ALL, etc. I am currently vice-chair on the MESD Board of Directors
(incoming Chair, pending election). I am currently a director on the state school board (OSBA) and at our last
board meeting I introduced a proposal to create an LGBTQIA2S+ advisory committee, which passed; this means
over the next year I will get to create this advisory committee and hopefully evolve it into an approved statewide

caucus.
Barista, busser, waitress and hostess for The Union Hotel in Occidental, California. I worked there for between 3-4 years.
I believe my role as a board member (outside of the legal requirements) is to act as a megaphone for my constituents and uplift the needs, concerns and highlight the moments of resilience in my community. I work to support policy changes and bring about board action that supports our most historically and systemically targeted communities.
The people of Multnomah County.
