Campaign themes

2014

Jones listed her campaign themes for the 2014 election on her campaign website:

Serving as a school board trustee is the logical next step after volunteering in the Grand Prairie Independent School District for the past eleven years.

I admire the direction Grand Prairie ISD is heading, and want to keep that momentum going. During my volunteer tenure, I have been successful at advocating for children, parents, and teachers. I will continue to build partnerships, and stay active as a volunteer in the district.

Positive role models are essential to building morale in the youth of our community. I want children to see that they, too, can be effective leaders no matter their background or the obstacles they face.

Preschool Preparation
Expand early childhood education programs.

Career Readiness
Increase the number of workforce and college preparatory pathways.

21st Century Improvements
Provide equal learning environments for all children in the school district.

Advocacy
Continued advocacy at the local and state levels for all children and teachers.[3]
