Katrina Waters ran for election to the Richland School District school board to represent Position 4 in Washington. She won in the general election on November 7, 2023.

Waters received a B.A. in chemistry from Ripon College and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As of 2023, she was a laboratory fellow and chief scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.[2]
