|Before I was Clerk, I was a consumer protection attorney standing up for New Mexicans and suing big banks like Wells Fargo for unfair and abusive practices that were harming working families.
Now I am running for the State Senate because I believes that New Mexico is at a tipping point. Even before the current public health crisis, I knew that we need new approaches to reduce crime, grow our economy, lift up our communities and families, and develop a path for our children to build careers and raise their families right here at home. And now, with a public health and economic crisis on our doorstep, I know it's more important than ever that we elect strong, compassionate, transparent leaders to see New Mexico through these tough times.- Making Health Care Affordable & Accessible: I am running for the State Senate because I'm not afraid to stand up to the big insurance companies that have stacked the deck against regular people. I'll fight to lower prescription costs, protect those with pre-existing conditions, and work tirelessly to ensure more New Mexicans receive access to health care.
- Rebuilding & Diversifying Our Economy: I am a small business owner and know how the pandemic has crippled the economy. I'll be one of the Senate's biggest champions of New Mexico's small businesses. I know that we must invest in job development and training. And, I know that we must diversity our economy and make NM a leader in renewable energy.
- Leading The Charge For Good Government: I have dedicated my career to being a good government expert, leading the charge to make government more transparent and ethical. I've been an election protection attorney, Albuquerque City Clerk, and I protect consumers from unethical businesses. As our state senator, I will hit the ground running - holding state government accountable.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
