Kaye K. Christian is a senior judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[1] Christian retired from the court on December 4, 2010 and took senior status that year.[2][3] [4]
Education
Christian received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in 1975 and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1978.[4]
Career
Christian began her legal career with the Office of General Counsel at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Next, she was a law clerk for Judge Henry Kennedy. Christian became a trial assistant with the Corporation Counsel for the District of Columbia, until 1983, when she was promoted to supervisor of trial attorneys. In 1987, she became a Hearing Commissioner (Magistrate Judge) for the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.[4]
