As a lifelong resident, I’m passionate about our community, supporting safety, businesses, and preserving historic green spaces. I value transparency and integrity above all else, I will make myself available to our community. With your support, I will represent our community and bring fresh ideas and new perspectives.

My government and legal research has been published by Johns Hopkins University. I hold 12 certificates of recognition from local and federal government officials for my education and volunteer contributions. I earned three associate's degrees from Mt. San Antonio College, a bachelor's degree from Grand Canyon University, and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University, making me the youngest graduate from each institution. I have experience as a legal administrator for the Law Offices of James Wang and legislative experience through a congressional internship, in addition to private tutoring and college consulting. I currently serve as the operations director for the Purist Group in Walnut, a position I have held for several years. I also serve on the board of directors for the Chinese-American Association of Walnut. I am regularly involved with leadership, volunteering, and event coordination with government officials and law enforcement.   • Safety: Safety is a non-negotiable. I will implement a safety commission, business watch, improve overall safety through promoting neighborhood watch groups and community relations with the sheriffs department. Walnut is safe, but it can always be safer. Through my community service, I have earned the endorsement from the 33rd Los Angeles Sheriff Alex Villanueva, the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, and many retired deputies.
  • Protecting green space: Green space is a historic part of Walnut. This requires upkeep and protection. I will improve code enforcement, protect our green space, and improve quality of life in Walnut. Moreover, we must take another look at the homelessness policies here in Walnut.
  • Community engagement and improving the economy: Walnut is home to many small businesses, which are a key part of the culture and economy. In order to sustain those businesses we must ensure they are supported. We need to improve community engagement, through more events and community services.
My background is in administrative law and the Constitution, my thesis at Johns Hopkins University for my Masters in Government focused on the Chevron Doctrine. Which focuses heavily on the wording of legislation. I am very passionate about legislation and how specific legislation should be. My campaign focuses heavily on safety, as it is something I think we must improve here in Walnut. I want to implement a business watch, which is similar to a neighborhood watch, except focusing on communication between our local businesses and the sheriffs station. Moreover, implementing a safety commission, as Walnut does not have one. Walnut is an amazing city, but we can always be proactive and make it better.
Integrity and transparency. The government, in any shape or form, must be held responsible, and people cannot hold it responsible unless officials have integrity and transparency.

I view this purely as community service, as you serve the people, meaning the people deserve the highest level of integrity and transparency possible.

I truly believe in being proactive, rather than a reactive form of government. We must fix problems before they occur, or before they become a huge problem. This also ties into being fiscally responsible, it is more fiscally responsible to fix problems before they blow out of proportion.
The city council should not be a political position, this is community service work. No one has prior city council experience before serving, but I’m confident in my ability to learn quickly and adapt, as I did starting college at 13. I pride myself in my critical thinking skills, new perspectives, and energy. I have a clear vision for the city, to make it safer, protect our green space, and promote our economic growth.

I believe that my skills and experiences would complement the current council. The council works as a body, and I would be one of five votes. I intend to use my skills to keep our city proactive.
There is a famous quote that says "people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" from Maya Angelou. I want to see my community thrive and see the impact I can make through improving quality of life for my community.
Critical thinking and quick learning, no one goes into a city council already having experience of being a city council member. This is community service and problem solving. There is no age limits on community service, you only need the desire and integrity to serve the community.
