Biography
Ede received his bachelor's degree from Occidental College in 2000 and his J.D. from University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2003. From 2003 to 2005, he began his legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk to Associate Justice Steven Levinson formerly of the Hawaii Supreme Court. He then worked as an Associate Attorney at Cades Schutte, L.L.P. from 2005 to 2006, then at Robins, Kaplan, Miller, & Ciresi, L.L.P. from 2007 to 2009.[1]
Ede served as an Assistant Public Defender for the American Samoa Office of the Public Defender from 2009 to 2010. From 2010 to 2015, he served as a Deputy Public Defender for the Orange County Office of the Public Defender. From 2015 to 2016, he served as the Assistant Attorney General for the Minnesota Attorney General's Office. Directly prior to his appointment, he served from 2016 to 2022 as an Assistant Federal Defender for the Office of the Federal Defender, District of Minnesota.[1]
