Biography
Garton is a school volunteer and a science teacher in the Peninsula School District. Garton also served as an engineer for 20 years before becoming an educator. He and his wife have three children.[1][2]

Three of the five seats on the South Kitsap Board of Directors were up for election on November 3, 2015. In the District 2 race, Brian Lightbody faced incumbent Keith Garton. District 1 incumbent Patty Henderson and District 5 incumbent Greg Wall were unopposed. Henderson, Garton and Wall all won re-election to their respective seats.
