Derek Keith (KEITH) means "Way of the Warrior" and aptly describes my commitment to serve God, family, and country. My father's 24 years in the Navy, my mother's industriousness, and our children’s successes reflect a generational dedication to duty and perseverance.

  Both from Milledgeville, GA and Georgia Tech graduates, my wife, Sherry, and I have woven deep roots in the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody community for over four decades. Our devotion to family, pride in Georgia, and staunch faith define our identity.   As a fierce advocate for safeguarding children, freedoms, and financial security, I pledge to embody the essence of a protector for District 51 constituents. The vitality of free-market values and national integrity underscore the importance of upholding liberties for future generations.

  • Protect and Defend

    Most would agree that the 1st Amendment to our Constitution is the greatest of our freedoms, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

    Freedom is a God-given right. It may be codified in a document, written on the walls of building, and shouted by crowds of angry protestors, but it is the greatest gift we have and it comes from the Almighty. No more censorship!
  • Inflation Hurts Everyone Let's Get Back To The Gold Standard The dollar has lost 99.14% of its purchasing power since 1929 due to the printing and expansion of the currency supply by our central bank (aka Federal Reserve). In just the last 3 years, with the Dems in control, the dollar has lost some 24% in purchasing power while, at the same time, average weekly earnings are down some 4%. "No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility."
  • Secure our Borders & Votes Stop Illegal Immigration Our citizens no longer recognize the country they were raised in. They fear for their personal safety and the future well-being of our children. We must secure the border, deport illegal occupants, and eliminate sanctuary cities. Remember Laken Riley!
Children & Families

The exploitation and trafficking of children are rampant in America, causing unimaginable pain and suffering to innocent lives. This must end! Your children will be my highest priority to protect, defend, and educate - not in diversity and transgenderism but in math and science. We need to expand the benefits of school choice for all families.

We are in an epic battle of Good vs evil. Good always overcomes evil. These two books are awesome. Great reads!

'Redeeming Love' by Francine Rivers.

'The Space Trilogy' by C.S. Lewis

C.S. Lewis's classic trio of fantasy tales! Called to join the universal battle of good vs. evil, Dr. Elwin Ransom, a renowned scholar, fights demonic forces with the help of heavenly messengers. In the end, good overcomes evil.
Honest representation of your constituents. The principals on which you run should comport favorably with your legislation and voting record.
I have a father's heart. I raised 4 children and now have 10 grandchildren. I will take that father's heart to the State Capitol.

Read in the 8th grade.

Written in 1955 by, then junior senator from the state of Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy. Profiles in Courage serves as a clarion call to every American.

In this book, Kennedy chose eight of his historical colleagues to profile for their acts of astounding integrity in the face of overwhelming opposition. These heroes, coming from different junctures in our nation’s history, include John Quincy Adams, Daniel Webster, Thomas Hart Benton, and Robert A. Taft.

Seeing depravity and understanding why. The down-trodden and those struggling with special needs need to be encouraged always.
Mutual respect and collaboration. Stay connected with open communication at all times.
Ending political corruption and making sure all constituents have a voice through free and honest elections.
Absolutely not. Our State officials and legislators should operate as a business that produces policies and legislation that are good for it's citizens. Represent the people.
Of course. Wisdom is found in the counsel of many. All opinions should be weighed and measured.
George Washington, John F. Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan

They loved this country and it's Constitution. They were committed to States' Rights. The States formed a more perfect union and the States are STILL in control.

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
Not contemplated. All of my family resides in metro Atlanta. My greatest impact seems to be at the local level because of them.
Laken Riley's murder. Our State is under siege. It is time for a change back to the rule of law and accountability for all citizens, legislators, administrations, and corporations.
Bills establishing election integrity, reduction in taxes, and expansion of school choice.
Taxes are NOT revenue. They are taxes. The State and Federal governments should have balanced budgets with full disclosure of all taxes received and expenses paid.
I attended the State Election Board meeting on May 6th. The Board reprimanded Fulton County for it's failure to operate with integrity and accountability. Most definitely we have a serious problem.
