The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Incumbent Keith E. Haynes defeated incumbents Keiffer J. Mitchell, Jr. and Melvin L. Stukes in the Democratic primary and was unopposed in the general election.[1][2][3]
