Elections
2012
Jacobson was running for North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction in 2012. He did not seek Republican Party support during the party's convention, where Kirsten Baesler won the party's official backing.[2] Max Laird and Tracy Potter also ran.
Jacobson announced in April that he was withdrawing for "personal reasons" but did not elaborate.[3] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.
