Born and raised in the Warrendale neighborhood of Detroit as the youngest of 8 children, I graduated from Cody High School. I served honorably in the US Army, followed by more than 35 years of working in telecommunications, installing and maintaining phone systems in numerous businesses all over Metro Detroit.

I am a married to Corinna and have four adult children, Steffen, Simon, Devon, and Madeline. We have lived in Redford since 2009, and we attend Four Winds Church in Livonia. I have been an active volunteer in church, civic and youth organizations for decades. Currently I am a delegate in Redford's 17th precinct and treasurer of the current 13th Congressional District Republican Committee.

  • Michigan First
  • Education is key to the success of individuals and our state
  • Freedom to allow businesses and individuals to be successful
Michigan has a lot of the factors that can make a state successful, yet, our state is not performing in a way that attracts business or motivates people with exceptional skills to stay.

Children are our future, but there are problems in the current education system. Our schools must return to teaching basic and foundational academic and life skills. Elementary school students have to be equipped with great reading, writing, and basic Math skills. Vocational training and cooperation with local businesses with high schools is crucial. All Michigan students must have access to a great education, and measures must be taken to vastly reduce drop-out rates.
Environmental policies must be realistic and be balanced with the economic needs of our state. If our residents don't have jobs, they can't afford to pay skyrocketing energy bills that are connected to unrealistic environmental timelines.

Fiscal responsibility and forensic auditing will help us to remove or replace programs that are not working. We can't waste taxpayer money in that way. We have to develop and implement programs that help the people of Michigan thrive.
I respected President Ronald Reagan. While I was serving in the Army, he became President an had a policy of peace through strength. He was also able to lower taxes and in turn strengthened the economy and increased tax revenue..
I was blessed with strong analytical and research skills. Despite the lack of a college degree, I am able to acquire information and knowledge to be successful as a state legislator. I have been the treasurer and finance chair of multiple organizations and able to understand complex budgets.
When I turned 16 I started working for Kroger. I worked there until I joined the Army, right after graduation. I returned to Kroger after my honorable discharge and worked for them for a couple more years until I got into the communication field.
