Keith L. Phillips is a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of Virginia. He was appointed to the court on August 26, 2013, and his term will expire on August 25, 2027.[1][2]

Education

Phillips received an undergraduate degree in Biology from The College of William & Mary in 1976. Three years later, he earned his law degree from Richmond Law School.[1]

Career

Phillips began his career as a law clerk for Judge Walter Hoffman. Before joining the court, he was a principal with the firm Phillips & Fleckenstein, PC. He was also a mediator and Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 trustee.[1]
