As a military veteran, former police officer and former Deputy Director of Homeland Security for Prince George's County, Maryland, I am committed to making my community better and have been a public servant all of my adult life. I am a husband and a father and have experienced the trials and obstacles that so many of my fellow Marylanders experience on a daily basis, and it is my goal to make the lives of those in my community better. As a military officer I gained the leadership experience and discipline to assess situation, make the tough decisions, and understand the impact those decisions have on the lives of others. Being a husband and father has taught me patience and empathy and helped me understand the issues we all face. Our common destiny is intertwined with our ability to work together to a common good for all Marylanders.
  • Healthcare -- Universal and Quality Health Care for all, and a woman's right to choose
  • Out of control inflation and cost of living -- high gas prices and cost of food is out of control making basic needs out of reach for far too many.
  • Criminal Justice Reform and Immigration Reform
Universal and quality health care for all, a woman's right to choose, managing the high cost of living for everyday people, criminal justice and immigration reform, assisting our veterans and seniors.
Courage, integrity and selfless service are the most important characteristics for an elected official.
I would like my legacy to be leaving the world a better place for my children, and all children.

Term limits should be imposed to encourage fresh ideas, new perspectives and to reflect the needs of their constituents.
I believe that compromise is necessary for policymaking, as it is in many aspects of life. The important thing is to ensure that you not compromise your values in doing so.
