Biography

Kel Britvec was born in Battle Creek, Michigan. Britvec attended Central Michigan University for undergraduate study. He attended the following institutions for graduate study:

  • Congressional Research Service
  • Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies
  • The American Political Science Association
  • The Government Affairs Institute - Georgetown University
  • The Atlantic Council

Britvec began working as an intelligence professional with Naval Intelligence in Suitland, Maryland, in 1985. From 1987 to 1991, he worked for the Navy Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in London as a CT analyst. He returned to NCIS headquarters in 1991 and went on to work for DIA in 1992.[1][2]
