I was in the 5th grade when my classmates and I were gathered in the library of Weber Elm. School. We were obediently sitting with legs crossed when our librarian rolled a cart carrying a huge T.V. to the center of the room. The countdown began...10...9...8...7 We were witnessing history in real life. 3...2...1..." We have lift-off!. My heart was pounding in a cacophony of fear, anticipation, and thrill. We started clapping our tiny hands and then cheers turned to hands raised in the air!!! A dark-haired boy couldn't hold his question. " Miss Janae, was that supposed to happen? It would be years later when I joined the Army as a 19-year old that I understood the magnitude of that day. It was then, that I defined, for myself 'HERO'. A HERO is a person whose belief in a possibility is so necessary for the greater good that despite fear and understanding, that human being risks his or her own life to protect its unimaginable potential.
"Old Town Road" by Lil NasX feat. Billy Ray Cyrus
I believe it's beneficial for a representative to have an understanding of what's best for his or her constituents. I believe life long politicians have been over-exposed to the venomous, corrupt and sometimes scandalous game of politics too long to recognize what's good for the people. Their previous experience in politics is beneficial to the point just prior to their corruption.

In addition, I believe someone like me who has military experience, life experiences similar to my constituents and intimate knowledge of major issues affecting the growth, security and well being of our nation is qualified to represent the people on a national level.
Our greatest challenge as a nation, unfortunately, is crushing false ideologies of some of our own family, friends, and neighbors who don't realize they are being used as pawns in a battle against their own prosperity. This battle is fought in the minds of our citizens-- good people-- who have adopted a culture of, fuzzy feelings, and feel-good sound bites that soothe their frustration when they don't know who to blame.

But the reality is that if socialism, marxism communism, etc. win the battle over our minds, in 10 years there won't be much left to fight for. In 10 years the biggest challenge will be how to survive. The battle will be how to overtake a government that has transformed her citizens into subjects. The ultimate challenge in 10 years will be a fight for a sovereign nation.
I believe in term limits for all elected officials. Our nation was rooted in innovation and the expansion of ideas. When people are allowed to get comfortable in a seat, they become complacent and stagnate. This is what we are witnessing in Congress today. For the most part, they aren't hungry to prove themselves to the people they represent and are thereby closed off to ideas or weak defenders of what's Constitutionally sound.
