Kelli Ross
Kelli Ross was a candidate for Ward 6 representative on the Las Vegas City Council in Nevada. She was defeated in the general election on June 13, 2017.
Ross was also a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 18 of the Nevada State Senate.
Biography
At the time of her 2017 run for office, Ross was a flight attendant with Allegiant Airlines. Her professional experience includes work as support staff for Palm Northwest Mortuary, owner of the electrical contracting company Keleeco Electric, and director of advertising and marketing for several hotels and casinos in Nevada. Ross has also served as the Nevada chair for Women's Business Enterprise Council West and the campaign treasurer for her husband, outgoing Ward 6 Councilman Steven D. Ross.[1]
Elections
2017
The city of Las Vegas, Nevada, held a primary election for city council on April 4, 2017. A general election was scheduled for June 13, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 3, 2017.
The city council seats in Wards 2, 4, and 6 were up for election in the primary, and the Wards 2 and 6 races advanced to the general election. Ward 6 Councilman Steven D. Ross was not eligible to run for re-election due to term limits.[2] Michele Fiore defeated Kelli Ross in the general election for the Ward 6 seat on the Las Vegas City Council.[3]

Ross ran in the 2012 election for Nevada State Senate, District 18. Ross defeated Donna Schlemmer in the June 12 primary election and was defeated by Scott Hammond (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5][6][7][8]
