Qualifications

  • be a resident of his or her respective county for at least two years; and
  • have practiced law or served as a judge for at least four years preceding the election.

Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 44.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Robert Garcia and Ida Baeza-Gardner.
Runoff: Because no candidate received more than 50% of the vote, Dickson faced Baeza-Gardner in a runoff election on May 27, 2014. She won, earning 52.8% of the votes cast.
General: She faced Sergio Coronado in the general election on November 4, 2014. [2][3]
