Campaign website

Halldorson's campaign website stated the following:

Healthcare and Medical Choice

Granite Staters deserve full control over their healthcare, with expanded options in telehealth, price transparency, and access to cost-saving prevention. People should be free to choose between traditional insurance or direct agreements with their medical team on the terms they know are best for themselves and their families. All medical decisions should be left to the decision of patients, their loved ones, and their doctors.

Telehealth reduces the time and cost of healthcare, and provides hardworking Granite Staters the ability to take control of their healthcare on their time. Price transparency is key to making an informed decision about where to receive care, and direct primary care outside the health insurance framework allows for cost-saving prevention, most often at less than $70 per month. All medical decisions, including reproductive decisions, immunization, and medications should be left to you, your loved ones, and your doctor with informed consent, and no interference by the government.

Housing

New Hampshire faces a housing crisis that's impacting our residents and new arrivals and preventing businesses from drawing in employees, which threatens to stop our economy from thriving. Archaic zoning and development requirements artificially reduce the number of homes available, and Kelly as Governor will work with the state legislature and municipalities to loosen or remove them so the best and brightest can find a place in the Granite State.

A modern, dynamic zoning concept including mixed-use zones allows for a needs-oriented planning model. Denser housing near economic centers would create walkable areas and ease traffic and commute times while leaving the option available to live in a quieter area available to those who prefer that for their family. Housing costs will go down and our economy will thrive.

School Choice

Granite Staters make good choices for themselves and their families, and education is no different. New Hampshire families deserve a robust school system in which choice isn't limited to those who can afford it. Public schools, private schools, and homeschooling should be accessible to every family because it's parents, not the government, who know best for their children.

Funding should follow the student, not the politics. Political polarization has caused voices to go heard or ignored along partisan lines, and students and families in one community may not feel welcome in their local school district when compared to surrounding areas. School districts should compete with each other, and parents who observe that their children are not served by the public education system should have access to other options regardless of their financial standing.[1]
