The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Incumbent Stanley Saylor defeated Kelly Henshaw in the Republican primary, while David Colon was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Saylor defeated Colon in the general election.[3][4][5]
