Kelly Higashi
Kelly A. Higashi is a judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. She was appointed by Republican President Donald Trump on February 5, 2018, to a 15-year term.[1] She was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July 12, 2018, by voice vote.[2]
Higashi was previously an assistant United States attorney in the United States Attorney's Office in the District of Columbia.[3]
Education
Higashi received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law.[3]
Professional career
At the time of her nomination, Higashi served as an assistant United States attorney in the United States Attorney's Office in the District of Columbia. She previously served as law clerk to Judge Frederick H. Weisberg on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.[3]
