- I am running for Clerk of Superior Court because I believe in the work that the Clerk’s office does. Rockingham County deserves a Clerk who doesn’t need “on-the-job training” at the taxpayers expense. With 29+ years in the Judicial System, I have seen how vital this office is to the protection of our rights and our records. I want to ensure that the Clerk’s office is run with conservative efficiency, total transparency, and a deep respect for the Constitution. These very services should be extended to the people by a knowledgeable Clerk and staff who have a heart and a zeal in this specific area of public service. That is why I am running; to not only facilitate these services but because I have the heart for this community and the specific
- I not only know the theory of this office: I know the reality. I possess close to 30 years of “boots on the ground” education/experience in every facet of the Clerk’s responsibilities from Civil, Criminal, Estates, Juvenile and Special Proceedings. I have the technical expertise to manage the court’s complex caseload and the leadership experience to manage personnel effectively. I have spent my career ensuring that the wheels of justice turn efficiently, and I have the institutional knowledge to cut through red tape and keep our local government lean and functional.
- am not a politician! I am a person who may one day need these very services that should be extended to the people (constituents) of Rockingham County as well as surrounding counties. These are life altering issues that bring you to the Clerk of Court’s office. Knowledge of the law and years of experience matter when it comes to someone’s livelihood. If you found out you or your loved one was diagnosed with cancer or severe heart issues, would you choose a doctor with lack of experience and knowledge to care for you or your loved one or choose a doctor with lots of knowledge and experience to give proper care to achieve the best possible outcome. As Clerk of Superior Court I will remain independent and impartial.
