There was going to be a Kelso School District Bond Measure on the April ballot in Scott County for voters int he Kelso school district.
This did not make it on to the April ballot.
The school district has been saving money to build a new school facility, currently they have $750,000 saved up. They want to get a bond issue on the April ballot to supplement that money to build their own school because currently they rent their building from Catholic Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau. That building they rent is outdated and the district is in need of more current facilities for their students. Surveys circulated earlier in September noted that most residents were in favor of the building project and supported the school's big for a bond to help.[1]
