Kem Frost (Republican Party) was a judge for Chief Justice of the Texas Fourteenth District Court of Appeals. She assumed office on April 1, 1999. She left office on December 31, 2020.

Frost was appointed chief justice in September 2013 by Governor Rick Perry.[1][2] She did not seek re-election in 2020.

Education

Frost earned a B.B.A. in international business and a B.A. in government from the University of Texas at Austin in 1980. She received her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1983.[1]

Career

Frost practiced as a civil trial and appellate lawyer for 15 years before she was appointed to the Fourteenth District Court of Appeals. Her specialty was complex business litigation.[1]
