Ken Edmunds
Ken Edmunds is a former Idaho director of labor. He was appointed to the position by Idaho Governor Butch Otter (R) on November 15, 2013, and assumed office on November 25, 2013. He resigned on August 8, 2017, citing “philosophical differences” with Otter.[1][2][3]
Biography
Edmunds is a career businessman based in Twin Falls, Idaho, with a background in management consulting and accounting. In his over 25 years of private sector experience, Edmunds worked as the controller of a Twin Falls development and construction company and as a senior executive and consultant with Ameristar Casinos. In addition, he worked as a manager and C.P.A. for the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).[2]
In addition to his experience in the private sector, Edmunds served as a member of both the Idaho State Board of Education and the Idaho Global Entrepreneurial Council.[4][5][6] He resigned from both positions before taking office as Idaho director of labor on November 25, 2013.
Edmunds attended Brigham Young University and holds a master's degree in accounting.

Governor Butch Otter (R) appointed Edmunds to serve as the Idaho labor director following the resignation of former officeholder Roger Madsen on November 15, 2013. Edmunds assumed the role on November 25, 2013. He resigned on August 8, 2017, citing “philosophical differences” with Otter.[3]
About the office
As director, Edmunds was in charge of the Idaho Department of Labor, the state agency charged with administering the state's labor regulations, unemployment insurance laws, and workforce development programs.[7]
