Ken Hart was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 70 of the Michigan House of Representatives. He ran unsuccessfully for the same seat in 2014.[1]

Hart's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[2]

- Our Public School system needs funding. The nation's future lies in the hands of our pupils.

- Women's Rights are being attacked. I'll personally stand beside women and for their right to choose!

- We need fair wages to live on.

- We need to stop Privatization of our Government.

- They need to quit taxing our hard earned pensions.

- As a Representative, I have a plan to reduce the largest budge in this state. The Department of Corrections. I can reduce it and still add more needed staff.[3]

The candidate filing deadline was April 19, 2016. Incumbent Rick Outman (R) did not seek re-election because of term-limits.
